The sunrise was behind me, but it was obscured by clouds and less than exciting. However, the early sunlight colored these clouds over the Ten Thousand Islands.

I am standing on Chokoloskee Island, a few miles South of Everglades City at the end of State Road 29. This island has a rich history of aboriginal Indians, Seminoles and white settlers.
